RAIFFESISENBANK - RUSSIA: Raiffeisenbank: New Year eager to donate to charity

Raiffesisenbank - Russia issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.

In anticipation of the New Year holidays, the number of transfers to charity doubles on average. Raiffeisenbank analysts came to such conclusions, having studied the transactional activity of customers for 2018 and 2019.

The size of the average charitable payment is also increasing: last year it amounted to 5,000 rubles, while in the pre-holiday period - 4,000. Women were more responsive: they donate one and a half times more often, while men are more generous: on average they are single the transfer amount is 10 times the amount that women donate.

The most active donors of 40–44 years. For clients aged 60–64 years, rare, but the largest donations are characteristic. However, in the sum of two years, the majority of money for charity was transferred to clients aged 50.

The total amount of charitable payments for two years amounted to more than 320 million rubles. The top 3 most active regions helping charitable organizations are headed by Moscow (more than 250 million rubles), in second place is the North-West (more than 43 million rubles), and the Volga region (more than 20 million rubles) closes the top three.

Most readily, Raiffeisenbank customers donate funds to help children with cancer and other serious illnesses. A significant amount of charitable payments is also sent to organizations that popularize classical music and support young musicians.

“Today, to support those who need help, a couple of clicks in a mobile application is enough. We constantly make customer interactions with the bank easier so that they can perform transactions wherever convenient and when convenient, ”said Maxim Styopochkin, Head of Raiffeisenbank Non-Credit Products Department.
