EIB to lend Bank of Georgia $44.7 million for development projects

The European Investment Bank (EIB) said on Thursday that it will lend $44.7 million to the Bank of Georgia in support of smaller companies. This funding will be used to facilitate private-sector development for small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) and midcap companies, as well as economic and social infrastructure, climate-change mitigation and adaptation initiatives. EBRD: Aid to reform-minded Ukraine likely to continue

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Sir Suma Chakrabarti said on Thursday that Ukraine's commitment to financial reforms will be met with the bank increasing its investments in the country. Chakrabarti also said that Ukrainian officials within the banking and energy sectors should work to attract more investors seeking opportunities. Belarus, Algeria chambers of commerce reach cooperative agreement

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the former announced on April 28. ADB announces $120 million in financing to aid Azerbaijan's smaller businesses

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced that it has approved financing packages for three financing institution on Azerbaijan that amounts to approximately $120 million on Saturday. This funding which has been approved to be utilized through Finca Azerbaijan, AccessBank Azerbaijan and DemirBank for use by the country's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMES) and other, smaller companies.
