Senior Vice President for Innovations at Skolkovo Vasily Belov announced on Tuesday that Belarusian companies will benefit from certain privileges at the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) Conference.
This conference is set to be hosted in Moscow for 2016. It brings together leading science parks from across the globe. Technology parks in Belarus are encouraged to attend, Belov said.
"This will be an opportunity for them to show themselves at the international level," Belov said.
According to the report from the Belarus press service, 900 applications have been submitted, and 200 of them will presented this week. Areas of submission include biomedical technology, energy efficiency, information technology, materials and innovations for children. Three winners from each category will then go on to the Startup Village, a Russian conference for startups that will take place in June.
Over two days, Minsk hosted the touring activity of the Skolkovo Foundation in Belarus. According to Belov, companies working with Skolkovo will have a strong connection to the international markets beyond Russia.
“The most important thing for any entrepreneur is access to a market," Belov said "And we stand ready to help the most interesting Belarusian projects with branching out into the markets of China, European and North American countries."
