Rosbank's Olyunin named fourth most cited banker in Russia

A study from Medialogia Rating Company named Rosbank's board chairman, Dmitry Olyunin, as the fourth most cited banker in Russia within the fields of finance and finance reporting, the bank announced on Friday.

The company looked at the amount of time that a speaker was cited and the quality of the information that each had given. The qualities that the company looked at included the individual's objective references, potential conflicts of interest and character, among other factors. They surveyed 23,100 media sources spanning from TV news to blogs, newspapers to radio.

They specifically searched for high-ranking banking officials within the country's banking sector.

The top two slots where awarded to Sberbank President German Gref and VTB Chairman Andrei Kostin.

In the listing, the significant showing from Olyunin was due to the closing of several offices and thinning the bank's staff. He stated the bank has 585 offices and branches, which the bank aims to reduce to between 500 and 510.
