The National Bank of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan said Wednesday it is holding a series of lectures on financial literacy in order to educate the population.
The bank said the lectures cover current issues and topics in finance. The bank said that with increased financial literacy, individuals can make informed decisions that will aid them in financial security.
Members of the staff of the National Bank also meet with local governments and groups that represent small and medium-size businesses and entrepreneurs.
Lectures have already taken place at No. 10 High School and the Technical and Economic College.
"I really liked the lecture," 10th grade student Kara-Balta Adil Arabaev said. "Specialists of the National Bank not only provided the presentation, but also spoke in detail on each topic."
