The conference "Retail Banking Services: Trends and Prospects" will bring experts from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine together to discuss retail banking on Thursday.
One of the main topics at the conference will be the cashless transaction system, what its status is and how it might be improved. The state of cash transfers in Ukraine also will be a featured topic.
The conference brings together representatives from banking, advertising, insurance and information technology (IT) companies.
The conference will be held in Minsk and hosted by Belagroprombank. The overall purpose of the conference is to bring representatives from banking and related industries together to share expertise on how to improve retail banking. In studying the trends within this area, the experts have been tasked with creating development strategies that would increase revenue and the number of transactions.
The conference has been held annually since 2006, and Belagroprombank said the conference is the only one that discusses this topic in detail.
