OAO Gazprom and Belarus manufacturers have reached new ground in cooperative relations, according to the Belarus News Service on Tuesday.
The natural gas extraction company's deputy chairman, Vitaly Markelov, expressed as much at the opening of the Belarus-Gazprom Industry Technologies Expo.
“We advance relations to a brand-new level. We see that huge attention is paid to the development of production facilities,” Markelov said.
He also noted that legislative and other measures on the part of the Belarus government influenced this import substitution.
The expo opened on Tuesday, providing an opportunity for attendees to enhance contacts with other business representatives. It also facilitated increased cooperation between the gas extractor and manufacturers in the country.
Companies in the fields oil, natural gas, chemical, light and machinery industries were able to showcase themselves and their products and/or services to Gazprom representatives and other manufacturers. Notable companies making their presence were the Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant and the scientific research center Europribor, among others.
