More than 50 entrepreneurs recently attended a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) workshop focusing on the benefits of consulting for entrepreneurs in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.
The Consulting Opportunities for Entrepreneurs from the Pavlodar Region workshop focused on outsourced consultants, and included discussion on how consultants can benefit companies, provide opportunities, increase effectiveness, and help develop businesses.
Topics covered included the importance of external expertise for business development, increasing the overall performance of an enterprise, developing administrative processes, improving knowledge and skills, and increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise.
The workshop coincided with the start of the Know How Campaign, an ERBD information project focused on the importance of consultancy and external advice for small- and medium-sized businesses. The campaign is being offered in 25 countries across Southern and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
The ERBD has been advising small- and medium-sized firms across Kazkhastan since 1998.
