Viper Subsea, a British engineering company that consults with and manufactures engineering products for the oil and gas sector worldwide, recently signed a multimillion dollar deal with Azerbaijan for the supply of subsea hydraulic and electrical distribution equipment to an oil field in the Caspian Sea.
Included in the contract, which is the company's largest to date, is the design and supply of subsea equipment as well as an option for providing a support team to oversee the installation and commission of the equipment.
Headquartered in Portishead, England, Viper Subsea earlier this year joined with Shell, BP and Total in a joint industry project to develop Viper’s Subsea Line Integrity Monitoring unit. The unit will identify and locate faults in remote subsea electrical distribution systems.
Over the last 12 months, Viper Subsea has seen a 45 percent growth rate and is slated to continue this trend into this year.
