The first set of double-decker trains from OAO Stadler Minsk will be delivered to Aeroexpress by the end of November, the Belarus press service reported Tuesday.

The delivery of the 25 Kiss trains is planned to closely coincide with the grand opening of the new Stadler Minsk plant on Nov. 20. Representatives of the company noted the significance of these occasions for the company and its partners.

The first set of trains were assembled in Switzerland; the remaining 21 trains yet to be built will be completed on-site at the new plant once it opens.

The facility itself has already been completed. The offices are the only items that need to be constructed.

The opening of the plant is a joint effort on the parts of OAO Stadler Minsk and OAO Belkommunmash Holding Management and Stadler Rail AG in Switzerland that started in 2012. The plant aims to be the first one producing electric transportation vehicles and supplies within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
