Shopping Online, permanent money control, immediate transfers and availability 24 hours a day are just some benefits of a bank card for a young person!

AVI-Moldova, together with Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale and with the support of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE DF) have launched the "My First Card" financial education for young people - learn all about bank cards and the correct management of money still on the school benches!

The campaign runs from October to December 2018 and aims to raise awareness and educate young people from 10 regions of the Republic of Moldova about the benefits of using a bank card and facilitating the process of financial management through non-formal activities and interactive games.

"Financial education, which has been gained since adolescence, makes a full contribution to their financial inclusion. Thus, the campaign to inform young people about the conscious and responsible use of financial products, especially a debit card, will help them make an important step towards their interaction with the financial system, "said Dorin Gaidău, manager investment, EFSE.

"Knowledge of the financial environment, and especially the use of non-cash through the bank card, the ability to manage money is essential to tackle economic systems. Every young person should have basic financial knowledge to make the most accurate decisions. Financial education develops money management skills and inspires young people to become more aware of financial risks and to adopt responsible behavior by making informed choices. We are glad that we can contribute to the financial education of young people through such programs, "said Stela Ciobanu, Secretary General of Mobiasbanca.

The events consist of conducting workshops on financial education for about 1,000 young people from rural areas in Moldova, who study at high schools, colleges and universities in the country, as well as the distribution of information materials.
