Belarus and Sri Lanka held meetings last week to discuss prospects for cooperation in trade and manufacturing.
Colombo hosted the first session of the Belarus-Sri Lanka joint commission for trade and economic cooperation and ministerial consultations from July 7-11, BelTA reports.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov, who is also a chairman of the commission.
The two sides are planning to boost high-level contacts, as well as parliamentary cooperation, and they discussed future cooperation in trade, agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, education, culture, sports and tourism, according to BelTA.
During the meetings, they also addressed regional issues, including integration in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space.
