Russia to partner with China on various investment projects

CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Kirill Dmitriev, announced on Monday that an intergovernmental commission between China and Russia is considering 32 different projects, worth up to a combined $75 billion.

With these in consideration, there are also up to 20 other projects that the international commission is considering.

"Thus, we’re most likely to have more than 50 projects, which the commission will be considering from the viewpoint of lifting barriers and possibilities of investment from the side of the Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF) and other financial instruments," Dmitriev said.

He stated that the fund is also working with other groups in order to pursue ventures outside partnership with China, including the Silk Road Economic Belt Fund, which has a reported $40 billion in capital. Dmitriev also said that the First Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Shuvalov, announced the country's participation with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
