Belarus, South Africa prepare for joint committee

The next session of a joint committee between Belarus and South Africa was the topic of a meeting between the ministry of foreign affairs and the ambassador of South Africa to Belarus on Tuesday.


Both sides indicated that enhanced cooperation in economic and trade fields would be the end goal of the joint committee. Plenipotentiary of South Africa to Russia and Belarus, Mandisi Mpahlwa, met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov.


During their discussion it was determined that development of dialogue between top officials in both countries would be necessary to move forward and is an immediate key goal for both parties. The diplomats also discussed the implementation of economic projects that would benefit both South Africa and Belarus and bolster trade between one another.


According to the report from the Belarus Press Service, this meeting concluded Mpahlwa'a diplomatic mission; as a result, Rybakov expressed gratitude for his efforts in building ties between the two nations.
