Belarusbank announced that it was named as the top Belarusian bank in Eastern European markets from a ranking published by Global Finance magazine on Wednesday.

According to the bank, this is the fourth time it has been awarded with this designation. The magazine studies banks and the regions that they serve including the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. The publication analyzed factors of profitability, strategy, customer service, assets, as well as their growth and competitiveness.

“The title proves the bank’s flawless reputation on the international finance markets," Bank Chairman Siarhei Pisaryk said. "It is the recognition of our success and leadership, as well as an impetus for further growth." 

The publication has been conducting this rating for 22 years; they meet with global banking consultants and finance directors in order to determine a particular bank's placement. They also consult corporate subscribers through surveys.

The publication reports on multiple areas of economics including banking sectors, markets and business solutions.
