BTA Bank and Kazkommertsbank this month announced success in implementing hardware and software integration with the latter's technology platform for southern branches of BTA.
The two institutions have been merging on a gradual basis in order to ensure that banking services remain uninterrupted as the banks join together. This is the third group of BTA branches to be integrated into the Kazkommertsbank system, following the Zhambylski and Kyzylordinski branches.
"Our team of experts carefully plans all integration actions concerning each branch while considering the accumulated experience of integration, regional specifics and clients' interests," BTA's Chairman of the Board of Directors Magzhan Auezov said. "Such large-scale preparatory work is transitory, fast and imperceptible for clients' transfer to the Kazkom's bank programs. This transition would allow us to rely on final association of two banks which we plan to finish during the first half of 2015."
BTA's announcement notes that despite the complexity involved with this merger, current client activity and service will be maintained. They also state that clients should not renew contracts under soon-to-be outdated terms because of the merger.
