Rosbank presents business strategy through 2017

Rosbank's Chairman of the Board of Directors Dmitry Olyunin on Friday unveiled the bank's business development strategy through 2017.

Major points of the strategy include maintaining technological solutions and expanding on them, improving the quality of client services, establishing a growing commercial network to grow its client base, and enhancing interconnectivity of institutions belonging to the Societie Generale Group.

The strategy was introduced internally in June. The changes initially generated more loans and included programs such as a co-branded banking card for travelers with IGlobe Bank.

Building from a current client base of more than 2.7 million people and businesses, the bank aims to attract approximately 870,000 new clients per year through 2017.

The bank also reported growth in remote and web-based activity. According to the announcement, over 1.1 million Russian clients are utilizing web-based banking services from Rosbank. Included in the strategy are means to increase corporate unit growth that aims to facilitate profitability for the bank's corporate clients.

"In the current difficult market conditions, to realize the opportunities to enhance interaction with customers, expanding the customer base and strengthen its position in the market will be able to those banks that are able to maintain financial stability and control, and adapt quickly to new conditions," Olyunin said.
