The First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) said Wednesday that it was rated among the top 10 banks in the country in viability by Forbes.
The magazine looked at the financial health of the institutions included in their study. Indicators of health that were studied included liquidity, profitability, shareholder support and how long payments have been made on a continual basis.
Another factor that tied into the rankings was the risks involved with the countries' of origin for the banks. They looked atr 32 banks in the Ukrainian system.
All calculations accounted for activity in 2014 up until Jan. 1, 2015.
The study gauged the stability of banking institutions within an unstable macroeconomic system.
The financial institutions and banks included in the study held 83 percent of the assets currently in the banking system of Ukraine.
