FUIB receives highest deposit-credibility rating

The First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) was awarded the highest rating in credibility of deposits by the ratings agency Credit Rating on Tuesday.

The bank received a "Grade 5," the agency's top rating. This indicates that the bank's deposits are trusted at a higher standard than other banks In Ukraine. It also indicates the bank's management has encountered only minor or no risks within commercial, economic or financial factors.

FUIB reported other measures of success as 2014 ended and 2015 began. In January, its factoring portfolio was the highest-ranked in the country at approximately $40.5 million. As much as 70 percent of this portfolio consists of small and medium business accounts.

The bank was also on the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine's top five list for insurer's deposits in 2014. Bank representatives noted that it was the strength of management and staff that allowed the bank to succeed in these areas despite a turbulent macroeconomic climate.
