NBK moves government-purchase report posts off main website

The National Bank of Kazakhstan said on Wednesday that it has ceased reporting government purchases on its website as of Jan. 1.

The bank said announcements and information on government purchases made by the bank would be published on the Center of Activities and Maintenance of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan website instead, at www.cma-nbrk.kz.

The center was founded in 2011 by the board of the National Bank in an effort to collect and maintain data, as well as network infrastructures for the bank itself.

On this website, users can find information on purchases, the purchase statements from the bank and its licenses.

At the end of 2014, FTSE Global Markets said the bank adopted a number of amendments that updated rules and regulations on prudential limits and strengthened requirements for net equity and charter capital for all banks operating in Kazakhstan.
