Belarus Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ecuador Igor Poluyan met on Tuesday with Ecuadorian officials to discuss final preparations for the upcoming second session of the Belarusian-Ecuadorian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which will be held in Quito, Ecuador, later this month.
Poluyan met with Minister of Foreign Affairs for Ecuador Gonzalo González and Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Office of the Vice President of Ecuador Tanya Muñoz. Other topics included economic and trade relations.
Both parties also discussed the implementation status on cooperative projects between the two countries in multiple sectors, including energy, industrial, construction, agriculture and food production, public transport, health care, technology, education and pharmaceuticals, among other fields.
They also discussed issues regarding the development of the legal framework that would facilitate increased bilateral relations between Belarus and Ecuador.
