The Center for Research and Development (CRD) of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) held a seminar for employees that are involved with the Exchange of Knowledge Project on Wednesday.

The seminar discussed Basel III standards that aim to help CBA teams that deal with risk management know the improvements made in this system and how it affects their line of work.

Supervisors in the CBA and the center detailed the importance of the system, what capital measures it consists of, the requirements regarding capital adequacy, buffers and requirements for liquidity.

The Basel III system standards are set to be implemented throughout Azerbaijan.

Workshop participants received certificates of completion. 

The Exchange of Knowledge project is a part of Azerbaijan's 2011–2014 strategic plan.
