Belarus, Azerbaijan discuss benefits of increased mutual trade

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov meet to discuss mutual trade.

Leaders from Azerbaijan and Belarus met on Monday to discuss benefits of increased mutual trade between the two nations.

Both Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov agreed that increased cooperation economically would be of great benefit.
Lukashenko would like to see Azerbaijan as a manufacturing hub in the region, selling Belarus products across the region.

“We trust each other," Lukashenko said. "Our friendship makes the basis of good interstate relations. You have always supported and helped us in difficult times. We remember it. So if anyone has questions about our close cooperation and friendship with Azerbaijan, we can say that it cannot be otherwise."

Mammadyarov agreed, saying that bolstering trade with Belarus is a primary goal.
