A group from the Board of Directors from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will spend five days visiting Belarus from Sept. 22-26.
The five-day tour of Belarus will include visits to Baranovichi, Smorgon, Fanipol and the capital city Minsk.
Representatives of the board include Denis Morozov (Russian Federation, Belarus and Tajikistan), Antonio Oporto (Spain and Mexico), Anna Bjornermark (Sweden, Iceland and Estonia) and Bob McMullan (Austraila, Korea, New Zealand and Egypt).
The directors will meet with national authorities throughout Belarus as well as foreign and domestic investors to discuss political and economic developments within Belarus.
To date, EBRD reigns as a chief investor in the country of Belarus. EBRD has contributed more than $1.5 billion euros to Belarus to date, aiding in 66 national projects. Of that amount, 883 million euros were invested over the last five years.
