NBU names new Financial Controlling Department director

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on Monday that Oleh Strynzha was appointed as director of the bank's Financial Controlling Department.

Strynzha graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in applied mathematics and later earned his master's in public management from the Kyiv National Economic University.

He began his career in the Ukrainian banking sector at Prominvestmentbank's Kyiv regional office as a software engineer. He would go on to work for the NBU as the head of the Software Development Center for International Payments division and in the Accounting Reforms and Commercial Banks' Reporting division.

"I joined the NBU team during the period marked by the evolving transformation and rapid development of the banking regulator," Strynzha said. "Being aware of my responsibility for this challenging financial area of the National Bank of Ukraine's activities, I pledge to use all my knowledge, expertise and experience to make public spending fully sustainable, efficient and transparent."

Strynzha will be tasked with managing the administration of methodological support, as well as expenditure reporting and management.
