Belarus' deputy prime minister said Thursday that Belarus enterprises will participate in Gazprom's import substitution program.
A protocol signed between Belarus and the Russian gas company stipulates the creation of a product list that would be a part of the program. This list would need to be agreed upon as soon as possible.
Those present at the conference also saw an exhibit from two Belarus manufacturers: the Minsk Automobile Plant and the Minsk Motor Plant.
Organizers on the Belarus side of this arrangement aim to increase the use of Belarusian manufactured products in highly technological and industrial fields. During the conference, standardization of merchandise was discussed specifically with the production of gas-powered engines and equipment to be used in the company's vehicles and for other operational applications.
