Armenian, Sweden discuss relations

Relations between Armenia and Sweden were the focus of a recent meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and Swedish Charge d'Affaires for Armenia Marten Ehnberg, Armenia said Wednesday.

Abrahamyan stressed the importance of the two countries establishing embassies.

The two parties also discussed how to facilitate trade and economic cooperation, having open contacts within each respective business sector and the implementation of joint ventures.

Abrahamyan said the ability that the two nations will be able to increase collaborative efforts is there. He said joint efforts build momentum and bilateral cooperation would spread into other spheres of activity.

Armenia has been willing to increase bilateral relations with many countries in Europe and Asia. In January, Armenia was considering a joint jewelry venture with Belarus. Near the end of 2014, Abrahamyan met with Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister Sapardurdy Toyliev to discuss for relations.
