Belarus Ministry of Economy officials discussing investment cooperation with China on Friday suggested projects in multiple sectors for the Great Stone Chinese–Belarusian Industrial Park in Belarus.
The sectors include scientific and technological areas such as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, electronics, communication technology and machinery manufacturing.
Officials from Belarus and China and business representatives received updates on the progress of the park's implementation. More than 100 Chinese companies and agencies were at the meeting.
Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky and Deputy Head of the Belarus Presidential Administration Nikolai Snopkov met with Assistant Minister of Commerce for the People's Republic of China Zhang Xiangchen and discussed the industrial park in depth, including promotional and developmental prospects to be pursued with the park.
The officials also discussed a May visit to Minsk by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Minsk.
