Kyrgyzstan National Bank chairman meets with ADB delegation

Tolkunbek Abdygulov, chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, met with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Monday to discuss measures taken to improve the investment climate in the country.

Also discussed was the state of business development in the private sector as well as efforts to develop public-private partnerships. 

The delegation from the ADB was headed by Betty Wilkinson, director of Public Management, Financial Sector and Trade Development of Central and West Asia. 

Both sides agreed that further cooperation between the two financial institutions would be necessary to reach the country's goals in economic development.

To that end, the ADB said it will provide assistance to the national bank in the form of expert consultation to the Kyrgyz Republic on the Islamic principles of finance.
