Belarus and Ireland officials discussed boosting economic and political ties, the Belarus Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
During a visit to Dublin earlier this month by Sergei Aleinik, Belarus' ambassador to the United Kingdom, he met with Barry Robinson, political director of the Foreign Ministry of Ireland.
The two discussed the possibility of increasing bilateral relations in the areas of economics, trade, humanitarian issues and politics.
Another topic on the table was the relationship between Belarus and the European Union (EU), as well as the Eurasian region.
Agreements on further talks were established, and further meetings were held with other officials, including Irish Stock Exchange executives and with Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Simon Coveney.
Belarus' primary exports include agricultural equipment, such as tractors and harvesters, and textile equipment. The country primarily imports machinery from the European Union.
