Croatian municipal waste management company Tehnix seeks to increase cooperation with Belarus, Belarus Vice Premier Anatoly Kalinin said after a meeting on Monday.
Tehnix Managing Director Duro Horvat praised Belarus' improvements to environmental protection measures that help the population and the effectiveness of the country's waste and reusable materials collection and processing methods.
Horvat said the company was interested in joint assembly plants that would build new municipal vehicles and equipment.
Company representatives and Kalinin also discussed the complex matter of investment in a process that would derive fuel from waste matter.
The Croatioan Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Development Bank of Belarus would jointly fund this venture.
Company representatives invited Belarus to send experts to an international congress on environmental that is to take place in September in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
