A delegation from Belarus attended an economic forum between Vietnamese and Belarusian officials in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday.
The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with assistance from the Embassy to Belarus in Vietnam.
The two sides discussed trade and economic cooperation opportunities and possibilities with respect to specific sectors. Part of the talks focused on the use of electronic exchange trading technology to facilitate trade and economic relations between both countries.
Negotiations and networking opportunities were available for participants.
The Belarusian delegation included Republic of Belarus Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov and Republic of Belarus Deputy Minister of Industry Alexander Ogorodnikov. The Vietnamese delegation included Socialist Republic of Vietnam Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu and various Ho Chi Minh Department of the Chamber of Commerce of Vietnam representatives.
During their visit, members of the delegation from Belarus took part in the opening of the National Exposition of the Republic of Belarus during Vietnam Expo 2013, an international trade fair.
