Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alena Kupchyna met with the Director of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations (CEEER) Rainer Lindner on Tuesday, the Belarus Ministry of Foreign affairs said.
The two officials discussed the role that the country plays in the region and in Europe as a whole. They also talked about bilateral economic and trade relations, as well as how Belarus and CEEER can facilitate them. The duo also discussed relations between the European Union and Belarus, among other regional and international issues.
CEEER was founded in 1952 and consists of representatives from German businesses and business associations, including the Federation of German Industries, the Association of German Banks, the Foreign Trade Association of the German Retail Trade and the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts, among others. The group's mission is to help German businesses facilitate and nurture economic relationships with Eastern European and Central Asian countries.
