The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) announced Wednesday that Ihor Budnyk will become director of the bank's risk management department.
The bank continues to seek out highly regarded experts, the bank's governor, Valeriia Gontareva, said.
“The National Bank of Ukraine continues to add best-in-class banking industry experts to its team. Raising the effectiveness of bank-risk management is one of the main ways to enhance the resilience of national financial markets from shocks. The National Bank of Ukraine intends to develop and enhance its financial and operational risk management framework. For this reason, a highly qualified manager, an expert in the field of financial markets, has taken charge of this department," Gontareva said.
