Belarus-Kyrgyzstan business forum promotes mutual interests

The Belarus-Kyrgyzstan business forum "New Horizons of Cooperation" presented new investment opportunities this week.

Taking place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, forum participants discussed the potential for trade and cooperation between the two countries that would allow Belarus' economy to develop.

"(The forum participants discussed) prospects for the participation of Belarusian companies in the infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan, and the establishment of joint ventures,” Belarus representatives from the Foreign Ministry said.

During the latter half of the forum, Belarus delegates learned about the Bishkek Free Economic Zone and the activities of its resident companies. Officials from both countries said Kyrgyzstan business leaders would visit Belarus in the second quarter of 2015.

The forum was organized by the Belarus Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the Minsk Office of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Commerce. The delegates from Belarus, which numbered over 40, represented several sectors and industries.
