On a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei discussed economic partnerships between the two nations.
The first meeting was on Tuesday between Makei; Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs; UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori; and Department of Energy of Abu Dhabi Chairman Nasser Al Sowaidi. They discussed strengthening economic cooperation and investment opportunities.
Makei and his delegation met on Wednesday with Anwar Gargash, the minister of state for foreign affairs. The two sides discussed economic partnership, specifically within industrial, agricultural and technology fields over a wide spectrum.
An agreement providing for mutual legal assistance and a memorandum of understanding was signed between both foreign affairs ministries. On the economic side, the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding.
