FUIB passes NBU stress testing

The First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) recently passed diagnostic stress testing done by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), making it one of the largest financial institutions to do so

In light of the results from the NBU testing, additional capitalization on the part of FUIB is not needed. The testing assessed asset quality, regulatory capital and Tier 1 capital adequacy. It also indicated, if needed, the required amount of additional capitalization by the end of 2016.

“A part of our policy has always been maintenance of high surplus capital and adequate loan portfolio management," FUIB Chairman of the Board Sergey Chernenko said. "As a result of such a policy the bank retains its financial firmness even in the present unstable situation. And the audit report we received by stress test results confirms this.”
