Medvedev and Chinese Premiers to meet later this month

Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev and Li Keqiang, the Chinese Premier, will meet this month to discuss a variety of topics, the Eurasian Development Bank announced on Tuesday.

“On the eve of the forum [Open Innovations] the Russian and Chinese premiers will have a regular meeting on October 13,” Russian Vice Premier Arkady Dvorkovich said. He also said that the Chinese Premier was planning to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

Other meetings that have been held between Russian and Chinese officials include meetings between Russian First Vice Premier Igor Shuvalov and his Chinese counterpart. Russian Deputy Premiers Dmitry Rogozn and Olga Golodets also met with the Chinese Deputies Premier.

“Recently the Russian president has met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit," Dvorkovich said. "They are also planning to have contacts within the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Beijing and the G20 summit in Australia.”
