First Deputy Minister of Energy in Azerbaijan Uzakbay Karabalin announced on Friday that 5,000 tons of Azeri oil is bound for Kazakhstan’s market.

“An agreement has already been reached in this regard," Karabalin said, according to News.Az. "It’s supposed that first party with 5,000 tonnes [sic] of Azeri oil will be transported next week. The details regarding [the] next party will be agreed [to]."

The announcement comes on the heels of another that noted the price of Azeri oil is falling.
