Georgian, Ukranian Chambers of Commerce and Industry sign memorandum of cooperation

The Georgian and Ukrainian Chambers of Commerce and Industry joined on Friday to sign a memorandum of cooperation during a ceremony.

The memorandum of cooperation seeks to bring Georgian economic reforms to a larger audience in both Georgia and the Ukraine.

In attendance at the ceremony were the membership of the Presidium of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce as well as the top officials at the regional chambers of commerce and Georgian Ambassador to the Ukraine Mikheil Ukleba.

Kakhaber Baindurashvili, the president of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met with Oleksandr Shlapak, the minister of finance of Ukraine at an official meeting.

The Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was created in 1960 to promote vitality and business development. The members of the chamber are dedicated to developing the market economy and reviving business. There are three regional chambers of commerce that the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is meant to unite.

The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has similar goals to the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and supports the business efforts of approximately 10,000 member businesses and companies.
