Belarus, UAE to pursue cooperative banking oversight

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Valentin Rybakov

A partnership between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Republic of Belarus aims to enhance collaboration in banking oversight, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs stated in a meeting with UAE officials on Wednesday.

Valentin Rybakov and UAE Economy Minister Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori discussed the joint proposal in Dubai. This is a continuation of an agreement that was signed between UAE and Belarus in February of this year. Both sides also discussed the current status of Belarus and UAE relations, as well as possible ways both sides could enhance these prospects. In this discussion, Rybakov also met with Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al Raisi.

As a part of the February agreement, implementation was the main topic of the discussion between both officials in regard to banking oversight. Both sides also outlined implementation of cooperative measures in the areas of high technology, commodity and stock exchange, in addition to the insurance agencies of both countries.
